Bill C-35, An Act to Amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA), comes into force on June 30, 2011. The bill strengthens the rules governing those who provide immigration advice or representation for a fee. Pursuant to subsection 91(5) of the IRPA, the Minister has designated the College of Immigration & Citizenship Consultants (CICC) as the governing body for the regulation of Canadian Immigration & Citizenship Consultants.
Members in good standing of the CICC are therefore recognized as persons with the professional title of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC), who may represent or provide advice on all Canadian Immigration and Citizenship matters for consideration, under paragraph 91(2) (c) of the IRPA before Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Immigration Refugee Board (IRB) , Immigration Appeal Division (IAD) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Sunny Yee is authorized under the authority of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) to represent you on all Canadian Immigration and Citizenship matters. |
