New Temporary public policy for Physician

We introduced a temporary public policy for foreign national physicians who

• were invited to apply for permanent residence through Express Entry on or after April 25, 2023, and submitted an application
• have a job offer or work experience in providing publicly funded medical services in Canada (such as fee-for-service work)

Under this public policy, we now use more flexible criteria to assess if these candidates are eligible for

• the Canadian experience class or the Federal Skilled Worker Program
• points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for
  • Canadian work experience
  • arranged employment
